K úspěchům loňského roku patří např. rozšíření distribuční sítě turistických tiskovin. Ze stojanů nejrychleji mizely Rytířské noviny, Tipy na výlety a naučné stezky. Kromě vydávání tiskovin Kraj blanických rytířů podporoval akce pro podporu návštěvnosti regionu, jako je např. Zimní běh na Blaník, Blanický cyklorytíř, Ratměřická hasičská fontána a mnoho dalších. Nejen turisté, ale zejména místní obyvatelé kvitují společný elektronický kalendář akcí, kde najdete vše od sportovních přes vzdělávací po čistě turistické akce.
"Myšlenka vytvořit turistickou destinaci Kraji blanických rytířů vzešla už v roce 2004 z hlav místních lidí, kteří chtěli přivést do kraje kolem Blaníku nové návštěvníky a podpořit zdejší region. Tak vznikla dlouholetá spolupráce mezi místními obcemi a neziskovými organizacemi. Od té doby se už hodně změnilo, Kraj blanických rytířů se rozšířil o Voticko a Zručsko. V roce 2014 se dokonce stal národním geoparkem. Turistická nabídka se v posledních letech rozrostla o několik nových expozic, návštěvnických středisek, stezek a jiných příležitostí. Pořád ale zůstáváme příjemnou destinací v tradiční středočeské krajině ideální pro pohodovou rodinnou dovolenou nebo prodloužený víkend," řekla Kateřina Červenková z Českého svazu ochránců přírody, který program koordinuje.
Jaké novinky chystá Kraj Blanických rytířů pro letošní sezónu? Chystá se nová turistická hra se zapojením rozhleden, pokračovat budou tradiční akce, kde můžete potkat maskota Blanického rytíře. K nim přibydou dva pochody, které se nultými ročníky ověřily v minulém roce. Vylepšení čeká i naučnou stezku na Blaníku.
